Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend ☺️💛
This dinner was too delicious not to share with you all.
Pan fried @tempeafoods
tempeh with garlic, fresh turmeric, cayenne, jalapeño, black pepper, in avocado oil. I added some Sriracha to kick things up a notch for about 7 minutes medium heat.
Then I added handful of spinach, red bell pepper, celery, purple cabbage. Sautéed for a few more minutes.
Put some avo on the side. Sprinkle of sea salt & black pepper, squeeze of lemon.
It was so good! Turmeric makes dishes even tastier.
Why is turmeric so amazing?
Turmeric has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for over 5000 years for its healing properties.
One reason to love is that it has powerful anti-inflammatory properties. It contains an active ingredient called curcumin which makes it such a powerful anti-inflammatory as well as a potent antioxidant. It can help with digestive and intestinal inflammation, arthritis (even rheumatoid), joint pain and injuries, protects our organs and helps promote optimal function, helps fight infections and viruses. It helps prevent and support the body with cancer. It's definitely an Indian beauty secret. It helps with acne and other skin issues causing inflammation. It helps with high blood pressure and cholesterol. Also helps balance blood sugar levels and helps insulin resistance. Helps protect the body from free radical damage. The list is very long but you get the idea. It's amazing and if you can definitely incorporate this beautiful food into your diet.
There are many turmeric and curcumin supplements out there which can make it overwhelming. I strongly believe that it is best to consume the wholefood version of turmeric. That is how nature intended it to be. Once we extract one component of it we are taking away the rest of the benefits we could be getting. This is just my opinion! That is why I love @newchapters
wholefood turmeric supplement. It has worked well for me.
