to live the rest of my life with no more regrets...
I had wanted to run a marathon for 30 years but didn't think I was capable, then a half ironman triathlon seemed out of reach for someone who had never really cycled.
Somehow, I have managed to finish both since turning 47.
So, now something that once seemed completely beyond my wildest dreams has started entering my thoughts.
A full ironman triathlon - 3.8km swim, 180km bike, 42.2km run - consecutively, on the same day (oh gosh that scares me so much - I've never swam that far or even cycled more than 100km!).
I'm really not sure if my body is capable (that damn toe joint!).
But I have decided I will regret it if I don't at least try.
Something changed in me when I crossed the finish line at that marathon almost 2 years ago.
A woman who had always been an underachieving perfectionist, who never took chances, finally became someone who started doing more than just dreaming about things.
She actually started trying and pushing herself and taking risks and stepping out of her comfort zone (not so easy for someone who had never done that in her entire 47 years of life).
I have shared my journeys and insecurities and battles here on Instagram because I want others who may also have not achieved what they wanted (or were capable of) in life due to various reasons or circumstances, to also realise that it's never too late and we are never too old to start living the life of our dreams.
