Forever looking like I lift heavy even if I don't 🤷🏻‍♀️ 2 questions I've been getting a lot lately; 1. How did I get my legs to look like this? Well it's probably like 99% genetics first of all. That includes the fact that my legs are SO SHORT, therefore the amount of muscle I have on my legs is more compact and bulks together. Someone with the same amount of muscle but longer legs would have a totally different look going on. But with that aside, I did lift really heavy for a while which included squats and deadlifts with a lot of weight which really made them bulk up a bit. And I have always, before and after I did power lifting workouts, done a lot of leg focused accessory workouts. Which leads me to the next question.... 2. What type of workouts am I doing now? Right now I'm doing a lot of lower weight high rep exercises. The heart rate is up. I am usually SWEATING and dying my whole workout. I love it. I'm also incorporating a lot of plyos between sets. And I'll have fast paced HIIT circuit days. @carissa4health made me a couple workout plans before we figured out what we needed to do to get this boosted a bit. I workout about 5 days a week give or take. And other than warming up for ten minutes on the stair master before each workout I don't do any steady state cardio. I do HIIT after my workouts once or twice a week, but mainly I keep my workouts high paced enough that it's basically cardio on it's own! Hope that's helpful and I'll do my best to answer any other questions you might have below☺️ PS yes I know I don't have boobs, I'm forever wishing squats for boobs was a thing, but it's not! So I'll take what I can get😂

👉 When you're in the gym, be in the gym... Focus! Leave everything that's on your mind at the door. Have an unparalleled focus on the task at hand. If you need to throw on some oversized, overly clichè bests 🎧 then so be it. If you're going to be at the gym, you might as well make the most of it. It's all well to have a laugh, or play around in between sets, but whilst you're in the set... Focus! Consider whether or not you're working the intended muscle, is your form where it needs to be? Can you feel your muscle contracting? - If you can't contract the muscle you intend to grow, it simply won't grow. Use it or lose it if you will. A lot of that comes down to forming a mind muscle connection. This mind muscle connection is very responsible for building aesthetics. Aesthetics is all about building up individual muscles to create a more balanced and proportionate physique. If you can't mentally engage certain muscles, then you will always have weak points. - Now, granted this lack of mind muscle connection could come down to postural or mobility issues, but if that's the case then you're in luck! You have identified the problem, and now you can go about applying the solution. - Nonetheless, when you're in a set your aim should be to feel through the muscle, and make each and every rep as good as it possible could be. ⚜️Perfect Sunday evening! ❤️My favorite way to unwind at the end of the day ❤️😘 . Tonight I visited a friend of mine in the hospital with a spinal cord injury that left her partially paralyzed.She fell off her bike while riding in the forest preserve behind her house. On my way home I couldn't help it feeling extra grateful for everything in my life, especially for the little things we sometime take for granted .❤️ . So tonight I decided to be in the present , to truly enjoy some of the wonderful " little" things like a quiet evening with my puppies , reading some of my favorites, loving my soft and comfortable bed and just breathe in happiness 🙏❤️ . On a personal note: I'm behind the camera and these @pedalthecause 100 mile cyclists take their 2nd stop at @ticklemyfancyfoods aid station.
