If there was a shift to happen, deep inside of you, would you still have enough soul to recognize it?
Would you be ready? Would your mind be open enough to accept it?
If there was a shift to happen, deep inside of you, would you suppress it, disregard it, fear it? Or would you try to listen and understand?
What If, in this time in space of yours, all of what you once believed in your core to be true, is actually not true at all? How would that make you feel? Think about it for a second. If your mind were to be blown wide open and all that you know (or what you think you know), all that you have learned, all that you been convinced of was the opposite of truth?
And why, if that were to happen, does that seem terrifying, mind altering, denial triggering?
Because where you are right now in your knowing is comfort and conformity. It is a zone of security where you feel safe.
Let me tell you this: change is uncomfortable because it means that you have to step past that comfort zone where you've been staying. And it is angering because it challenges that belief system that is so heavily instilled because you fear that just beyond that comfort zone lies the truth or a new level of understanding and that is terrifying.
So then why do we stay stuck in a hamster wheel, caught between comfort and discomfort all in the name of not experiencing anything other than what makes us feel, Well, coddled?
What is life walking the flatlands when there are mountains calling for us, begging to be climbed?
What is the purpose of experience if we stay stuck on the sofa of conformity?
No change will ever come when we are settled. So rattle those cages that enclose your exploring heart and break those cyclical chains that you have made out of 2nd party opinions and generational advice.
Do what you love and love what you do and erase that line that separates you from the here and there. It is time to be disturbed!
